Pam a voice of common sense

Far from the “Beltway bubble” of Washington DC, county government is on the front lines of all the issues facing policy makers and our communities. This is why we need local elected officials with the knowledge and know-how to serve their fellow citizens.

For nearly a decade, I’ve had the pleasure of working with Flathead County Commissioner Pam Holmquist on important Montana issues, from forestry and land management to job creation. I sat with her in meetings on Capitol Hill to advocate for the Kalispell Bypass project. We have had important discussions at factories and manufacturing facilities in the Flathead Valley about increasing good-paying job opportunities for Montanese.

Working on behalf of a county that is over 70% federal land, Pam has been a consistent voice for common sense forest and land management policies. She understands that common sense stewardship improves our public lands, reduces the risk of catastrophic wildfires, and helps maintain Montana lumber jobs.

Pam also has an unrivaled knowledge of the ins and outs and intricacies of county government, which has proven vital as she champions Flathead County nationally and nationally. She will continue to work to protect private property rights, provide essential public services and keep the county on a strong fiscal path.

I have always appreciated Pam’s kindness, openness and honesty in discussions. Pam Holmquist is a staunch Flathead advocate and top-notch public servant. She has my full support.
