Persona 5 Royal features five social stats for its main protagonist Joker to level up as the game progresses, each representing a different aspect of his personality and abilities. The knowledge stat is pretty self-explanatory in name and function, being representative of the book’s intelligence and Joker’s general knowledge, and this guide will explain how to improve the stat.
Persona 5 Royal is a JRPG developed by Atlas and published by Sega. After being framed for a crime he didn’t commit and forced to change schools, the protagonist falls into the “metaverse”, a world shaped by human cognition, and awakens to the power of Persona. Using this new power and accompanied by his friends, Joker forms the “Phantom Thieves of Hearts” and sets out to steal the twisted and warped desires of humanity via the Metaverse.
Daily life
There are several ways to constantly improve Joker’s knowledge every day. The most reliable method available is to study at LeBlanc, Diner, or the school library. Studying at the Diner is more effective when it’s raining because it’s quieter (+2 normally, +3 when it’s raining). Studies at LeBlanc are also boosted by the rain, and the school library remains the same regardless of the weather, but is less effective before Kamoshida leaves school (due to the distraction of students whispering about Joker ).
In the evenings, Hifumi Togo’s Confidant allows Joker to play shogi with her, which increases her knowledge, though players do not have access to her Confidant until 6/25. If Joker acquires a knowledge-increasing book from either of the two bookstores or the school library, he can read at LeBlanc’s counter or on the train if he gets a seat as another way to increase knowledge .
School questions and crosswords
Joker also has regular opportunities to improve his knowledge by correctly answering questions in class and can answer a TV quiz question to LeBlanc every Wednesday for an extra boost. A crossword puzzle can also be found in LeBlanc at regular intervals, which can be completed to gain additional knowledge without wasting Joker’s precious time.
While failing the Big Bang Burger challenge will only increase Guts, completing the challenge will give Joker a boost in knowledge, as well as skill, guts, and charm. Watching some movies can also increase knowledge, and sometimes drinking juice on a Sunday at Shibuya Underground Walkway will also increase knowledge.
