Pro athletes will gather at NJ event to help make weed mainstream

At the Friday and Saturday business-to-business and business-to-consumer fair in Elizabeth, organizers of Athletes in Cannabis aim to connect former ballplayers, healthcare professionals, venture capitalists and members of many other industries to network and share cannabis information.

For you Jets fans, Bobby “BoJack” Jackson and Reginald “Reggie” Grant as well as recent Super Bowl champion Dominique Easley, formerly of the Patriots, are among the guest speakers. These professional athletes and others started their own cannabis business after retiring from sports. Josh Bauchner, a cannabis lawyer, will be the keynote speaker. Bauchner, of Ansell Grimm & Aaron, represented the former NFL great marvin washington in a landmark appeal filed with the U.S. Supreme Court demanding that the federal government decriminalize cannabis because of its medicinal values.
